I am very attracted to the idea of metaphysics – a realm beyond the physical world.
In Book #1 and Book #2, the metaphysical world shines through the story, but it is not well understood by Eric, the main character. In Book #3, it unfolds further and becomes clearer as ciphertexts appear as a layer on the internet.
To people wondering whether I’ve read Dan Brown’s Digital Fortress from 1998, the answer is: yes! And I enjoyed it very much. But I did not copy or draw inspiration from his story. The main difference between Dan Brown’s work and mine is that all my stories are inspired by true events, as the fictional narrative reaches into the real world.
Dan Brown seems to do the exact opposite: he takes real ideas from the real world and transforms them into a layer of fiction. For example, the Bergofsky Principle, which is purely fictional. In contrast, I use the Kerckhoffs’ Principle, which is an actual, established principle.
In my Book #2, I explain the Equilibrist’s Curve. Although this formula is used in a fictional way—much like the Bergofsky Principle—my theory also serves as a cornerstone for understanding the universe for the layman in real‑world physics. As I move on to Book #3, Book #4, and Book #5, more concepts and deeper layers are added to the fictional universe I’ve created.
Regarding metaphysics, I use it in my fictional universe to explain supernatural events – such as angels and demons. In the real world, however, metaphysics has long been debated in terms of whether it actually exists. I suppose you can choose to believe in it or not. Just as the Bible requires faith, so does the metaphysical realm.
